I decided to sign up for the “slow cooker” challenge, while procrastinating from the “clutter boot-camp” that I signed up for … It’s a simple challenge. I am e-mailed 4-5 slow cooker recipes each week, and have to make 1 recipe per week. I tend to favour the “dump and mix” recipes that do not require cooking the meat before hand, but by “dump and mix” – I mean fairly fresh ingredients. In other words, if the recipe calls for two cans of cream of mushroom soup, I’m trying to stay away from that – it is hard to find a good slow cooker recipe that saves you time, while not having all sorts of crap in it. Here’s hoping I find some healthy meals for those “time-crunched” days.
